This interactive half-day workshop is aimed primarily at administration and reception staff working in both medical and dental environments.
GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018 provide a legal framework for the safe and fair processing of personal information, and the workshop will provide an overview of the statutory responsibilities placed on data controllers and vicariously the data processors working for them.
The main focus, however, will be on how these overarching principles translate on a practical level to the day-to-day workings in a busy medical or dental practice. It explains how data protection must become embedded in the normal activities of all organisations, particularly in the areas of data security and confidentiality breaches.
